Fashion photography is clearly my favorite thing to do. At Harford Style Magazine, we decided to dedicate one issue each year to Brides and all things wedding related. Bridal and wedding images are so much fun since you can create very dreamy and romantic settings and it’s hard not to love a photo that features a gorgeous gown on a beautiful model. I recently photographed a group of interior designers for their website and print advertising. They each wanted to choose their favorite fabric from their collections as their headshot background. Although it is not something I would typically do, they were thrilled with the mix of colors when the images were used together.
The image below was created for a health and wealth coach for her advertising and website use. This image was shot in my studio. We hoped to create a relaxed, casual image that she could use for a myriad of promotional materials.
I spent Sunday at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure shooting corporate event photography. Maryland Live Casino was a sponsor of the race and it was amazing to photograph the event for them. I couldn’t believe the amount of people that went from the starting gate to the horizon in this photo. What a great event!
This lovely young lady was a good enough sport to allow my makeup artist to do a “BEFORE” photo of her. I wanted to photograph her because I loved her long red hair and perfect pale skin with freckles. This is proof that my team can transform someone with our beauty photography and makeover sessions.
These shoots are great to do just as a treat to yourself or as a gift to a loved one. They can be as simple or dramatic as you want!

Lighting is the most important things when it comes to beauty photography for models. A photographer has to learn to light in such a way that does not cause unflattering shadows on the model’s face. A beauty shot may look easy but it’s truly a situation where you can spot a novice photographer vs an experienced one. At this shoot, I worked with an amazing hair/makeup team which helps make a great photo amazing! Not everyone will like this crazy lighting but I love these images.
Thanks Gina Bateman, Sarah Jackson and the lovely Allyson from L&M Modeling and Talent.
In the past few months I have been working on new fashion photography images for a jewelry designer’s website. Most of her marketing has been bridal related and she wanted to take her image to a new level. I suggested doing the model images in black and white to make her site and her images stand out. I was thrilled with the results! We had a great team that day of makeup/hair/stylists that created some striking images that I am very proud of. We also did some softer model images with her jewelry and hair pieces as well as individual shots of all her earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Fashion photography jewelry.
This last month has been filled with mostly event photography. One of my regular jobs is with Rams Head Center Stage. I was lucky enough to photograph The Fabulous Thunderbirds last night! They were amazing to watch and of course, sounded great. If you haven’t been to Rams Head Center Stage at MD Live Casino…check it out!
This past week was filled with events at Bucknell University. Homecoming at Bucknell involved so many different activities that needed two of us to cover all the event photography. They had BBQ’s for staff, a huge Gala, a memorial service for a beloved professor and a wonderful arts evening of various performers. Feats Inc. built an amazing tent and covered the buildings in lights to make the gala night extra dramatic in photos.
