Finally the new issue of Harford County Style Magazine is on the shelves! I shot the editorial fashion photography pages this time at a great location…Brian Bunce Barbers. Originally I wanted to add a bit of 1940’s graphics to the images but found it was a bit too busy to the eye. So, the actual magazine pages look a little different than this, but I loved the graphics and wanted to share those in my post.
Photography for actors and models.
Autumn is my favorite time to do photography for modeling composite cards. Photography for actors and models is very different than portrait work and allows for a lot of creativity. I had a wonderful time working with model Ally from L&M modeling and talent. About 2 years ago I shot the images for her first modeling composite card and what a difference! Beauty glamour photography
I love when people want to do beauty glamour photography sessions for themselves. They might model, they might not. Nothing is more fun that being able to make someone feel and look glamorous. There are no rules, we just get to have a great day of makeup/hair/ and shooting. What a great gift for someone or yourself! Beauty Glamour Photography.
Fashion photography for HC Style Wedding Issue
We had an amazing amount of fun with this Marie Antoinette inspired shoot for HC Style Magazine. The dresses were provided by Amanda Ritchie Bridal and Beauty and also K&B Bridal both in Harford County. Hair by Lisa Jones-Butz of Subtle Rebellion salon + gallery and makeup by Gina Bateman. These were done a few months ago…but I needed to add them to my website. This fashion editorial was shot in Harford County Maryland. Fashion photography for HC Style Magazine.
Photography for models
Just for the fun of it… Fashion photography
Today’s shoot was unique. Tara wanted new photos…just because. I had photographed her once before, back in the days when she was a Baltimore Raven’s cheerleader. We decided to do a beauty/ fashion photography shoot and I am thrilled with the results. The lovely hair/makeup was done by Caitlyn of Blackbird-Artistry.com
Modeling Composite Card Photography
As a photographer for many modeling agencies, I have the challenge of coming up with new ideas and shoot locations. Recently I worked with the lovely Bailey on her modeling composite card and since she brought this adorable swim tube as a prop I thought it would be fun to take it to our local Harford County Maryland stream and have her her splashing around in a photo. After reviewing the images, I wasn’t crazy about how the water had turned out…kind of a brownish tone from the recent rain. I suddenly had an idea of removing her image from the stream and giving her a new pool to swim in! I photographed pool water separately and like magic she was splashing in pretty blue pool water vs the brownish Winter’s Run stream. So this is proof you can’t believe what you see anymore in a photograph, even in a teen modeling composite card photography shoot!
Fashion editorial photography for HC Style Magazine
We had a great time doing this fashion editorial on a very hot, humid day in June. Luckily all involved were good sports, particularly the beautiful Rebecca. The Mt. Felix Vineyard has a gorgeous female mastiff as it’s mascot and she had just had puppies a few weeks before. As we were finishing up our shoot one of the puppies came to visit. Obviously we all thought this was adorable and Rebecca started to pose with the little guy. The pup had other ideas, no interest in being a model and a very specific interest in her socks. I snapped these adorable out-takes as he very impolitely stole the socks right off her feet!
I can’t show you the finished images since they have not yet been published in HC Style magazine. However I really wanted to show you these funny shots that in the old days would have just been displayed in my darkroom for my own amusement. These posts are a great way to share! Fashion editorial photography is my absolutely favorite thing to do and I want to thank the models Rebecca and Ting Ting along with stylists Caitlyn Meyer and Lisa Jones-Butz.
