a Baltimore/Harford County based Photography Studio

Actor Imani Nia Robinson
The talented Imani Nia Robinson came to the studio for a new set of headshots. She recently created her own series (Episode 1 can be watched on YouTube) called “Three Blind Mice”. It was incredible- filmed in Baltimore.

Actor/model Claire Noonan
Actor / model Claire Noonan – new actor headshots and commercial modeling photos. Such a fun shoot with the smart, organized and charming young talent.

Actor Mia Boydston needed an updated set of images for her many upcoming auditions. Those amazing eyes!

Actor Kris Nieves. This ambitious actor has such a unique look, I doubt he will have any trouble getting noticed.
Different managers/casting agents want different styles. The preference for a certain “look” can also vary from city to city and I am happy to accommodate any type of image that is requested or I can help you figure out what works best for you as an actor.

This lovely lady with a unique look, needed her first set of headshots for acting. She had plenty of lovely modeling images that show her dramatic bad-a$$ self. Acting headshots, however, are not meant to be just “pretty pictures” so we tried to show more of her personality and not just her beauty. She did her own makeup for our session. Here are a few samples.
If you would like to book your own headshot session I shoot most Tuesdays and Wednesdays (other days of the week available as well if needed) in my Harford County MD photo studio. Amy@AmyJPhoto.com if you want to discuss specific dates and times.

These are four examples of my photo series that combines touches of AI with traditional photography.
I started this project as personal work, but am finding that clients are responding to this type of shoot and want me to create a special session just for them. It’s meant to appear as a fantasy image so much of the looks are created in post production.
If you are interested in creating something for yourself, don’t hesitate to email so we can start planning something special. amy@amyjphoto.com

That’s why this lovely actor came to my studio recently. She needed a commercial photo, a dramatic shot and something a bit more theatrical. Let me help you narrow down the best looks for YOU.

Although I shoot a lot of actor headshots with a more commercial feel, recently I have had more requests for theatrical headshots. I am enjoying the change to a bit more dramatic, simple lighting and backgrounds that really let the strength of the subject’s features take center stage.

Recently, a former client referred a lovely lady to me who was about to turn 40. She wanted a fun photo shoot to celebrate this milestone. I don’t do a lot of traditional portraiture but she wanted to be glamorous and fun so we booked a makeup artist, gathered our disco balls and balloons and spent an evening creating fun images to commemorate 40 trips around the sun. This is what she had to say about the results…..
“Wow wow wow… I am screaming at the top of my lungs…. I loved love love and loved my photos… Excellent work, Ms. Amy.. You are indeed one of the best.. Thanks so very much. I am beyond impressed🙏🏽
God bless the work of your hands.”
