Since everyone needs a headshot these days for websites and social media marketing I have been doing a lot more personal branding images. Some clients want a clean, simple image done in the studio and others want to shoot at their place of business. Either way works! These sessions can be as small and simple as you would like, or they can include lots of clothing/location options for a full shoot with lots of choices.
Headshot session and marketing photos for actor Lindsay Rosser
Actor headshots
The lovely Laura Boswell returned for some new headshots. Love these natural light shots done at my studio entrance. Hair and makeup by the talented Lindsay Shields.
Environmental headshots and business portraits
An alternative to a traditional head shot for professionals is the environmental portrait. If you are lucky enough to have an interesting work space you can incorporate the office into your photos. Location shoots are a little more complicated but ultimately it makes for an eye catching image to promote your business.
Business portraits for marketing and websites
Entrepreneur Lisa Roulette recently designed her new website and I was lucky enough to work with her on this project. She wanted simple, eye catching images. We created a group of business portraits for marketing and website use.
“Amy is wonderful. She is not only exceptionally talented by trade but she makes the shoot experience easy and incredibly comfortable. I am camera shy and not confident when posing or looking into the lens but with Amy’s direction and guidance we always get amazing shots that make me look like a natural. I would highly recommend working with Amy.” Lisa Roulette
Headshots for model, actor and producer
I recently did a headshot session for a former model turned movie producer. I convinced him to let me shoot it square and we agreed on black and white. We also did a secondary image to be used for his IMDB page.
Advertising and website headshots for business
I recently photographed a group of interior designers for their website and print advertising. They each wanted to choose their favorite fabric from their collections as their headshot background. Although it is not something I would typically do, they were thrilled with the mix of colors when the images were used together.
The image below was created for a health and wealth coach for her advertising and website use. This image was shot in my studio. We hoped to create a relaxed, casual image that she could use for a myriad of promotional materials.
Corporate Headshots
Corporate headshots have become significantly more important since social media has become an everyday part of the business world. People need/want to put a face with a name when networking. A high quality headshot is a good investment and I try to make it quick and painless for busy professionals. If there are 8 or more people in your office that need headshots, I can come to you
Brittinay Nicolette- Miss Maryland Collegiate America. Photography for pageants
Photography for pageants is something I have been doing longer than I’d like to admit. I was lucky enough to work with Brittinay Nicolette who was recently crowned Miss Maryland Collegiate America. I have hired Brittinay in the past for modeling jobs but this was our first time shooting for a pageant. Congratulations Brittinay and good luck in August at the Nationals!!
Beauty photography for models
Lighting is the most important things when it comes to beauty photography for models. A photographer has to learn to light in such a way that does not cause unflattering shadows on the model’s face. A beauty shot may look easy but it’s truly a situation where you can spot a novice photographer vs an experienced one. At this shoot, I worked with an amazing hair/makeup team which helps make a great photo amazing! Not everyone will like this crazy lighting but I love these images.
Thanks Gina Bateman, Sarah Jackson and the lovely Allyson from L&M Modeling and Talent.
